Why would you care about our new logo?
Looking back, I can see that we have always focused our blog posts on information that we believe can bring value to our clients and network who may be buying, selling, or investing in real estate. This week our post is definitely an outlier from that perspective. It is a little more personal in nature.
The Walterhouse Realty Group launched our new logo this week which is part of our rebrand including refreshed colours and fonts. Most of us have likely been exposed to a rebrand of some sort either as an employee of a company with a refreshed look or perhaps even for your own business. And you may have asked yourself, why do we bother? Is it really worth all that time and energy spent redefining something that already exists? What’s the purpose? And who really care anyway?
My wife Nicole, who has joined me working in our business after over 20 years as a director and senior executive in the corporate and not for profit sector, has led rebranding efforts in the past. She believes all the hoopla associated with a refreshed brand rests on the fact that it is an important mile-marker along life’s path that ultimately communicates progress and direction. Like so many milestones in life - it allows us time to reflect on where we have been and where we are headed. And what’s important about goal setting is not necessarily the achievement of the goal. What is truly remarkable about striving to achieve a goal is how you evolve to become what is needed in order to achieve the goal.

A few years ago, I was an agent with an assistant growing the number of clients that I served each year. I believe in and have experienced firsthand the power of real estate investing in securing a solid financial foundation for myself and my family. As a homeowner, landlord and real estate investor, I love helping others learn about the benefits of real estate. The growth of my practice also contributes to growth in the number of people we can help who are in need. As many of you know, through each home we help buy or sell, we donate a portion of our commission to our worthy cause 360°kids, a York Region charity that helps youth in crisis. And although it is sometimes still hard for us to believe, most of those young people are homeless. With each family served, more youth gain access to urgently needed programs and services.
Looking back, we can see how much the Walterhouse Realty Group has grown. We have hundreds of transactions under our belt and nearly a decade of experience providing great service to our clients. Here are just a few of our achievements:

Our business, our story, our lives have evolved, and our new logo feels like a fitting tribute to this part of our story. And we can’t wait to see what the future holds.
